Power supplies built by PSUK are tested to determine quality and life cycle. Our customers are primarily from the defense arena, whether they be for primes or other subcontractors.

PSUK is a startup organization that is applying for funding through the Department of Commerce in the CHIPS Act of America. PSUK has determined there is a need for secure power supplies in the United States and has identified customers that will purchase specific power supplies for materials they are producing. PSUK sees the potential in secure electronics as being very favorable. Many government agencies wishing to create a secure supply of electronics will need measurably secure components, ensuring that the end product is completely American-made and a secure product.

PSUK is working with financial institutions for loans, with guarantees from state and federal governments, grants, and a multitude of investors.

PSUK chose Burlington in Coffey County, Kansas, to build the first manufacturing plant. Coffey County offers a rural location that is below the national average income and has amazing leadership from the Economic Development Director, who works with members of state government, including the state’s Department of Commerce. For this reason, among others, Coffey County makes a very good location that fits within the parameters of the CHIPS Act of America.

Coffey County offers ample land available at an affordable price and a nuclear plant in their county that can power a multitude of factories. PSUK is only one of six factories that will be built in Coffey County and will be part of a supply chain for an existing local company, however, in addition to supplying electronics for a multitude of companies across the United States that will be participating in secure microelectronics.

PSUK is owned and operated by American citizens that are patriotic by nature. The premise of this organization was to create companies that could produce needed components within the secure supply chain, and one of the products identified was power supplies.

PSUK are expected to build a $200 million facility that will eventually employ approximately 200 people. The wages will be above the national average and will offer an attractive benefits package. PSUK is and will continue to make efforts to recruit people from all walks of life. PSUK has been in contact with multiple minority licensed organizations and will be soliciting job applications from diverse backgrounds. The president of PSUK is Kathy Thacker. Many of our organization’s owners are either veterans or women.

PSUK will purchase more land than is initially needed but understands that expansion could very likely need to happen within a few years. For this reason, they will be building in a manner that is expandable, adjustable, andcan be utilized for other operations as well if needed. The initial primary customer of PSUK will be located on the campus where our manufacturing company is to be built. This will allow a single-hand delivery in the supply chain and will reduce the risk of involvement from any outside organizations. The building will be built in a manner that is security conscious and only allows specific employees and customers in specific areas.

PSUK will be breaking ground by the end of 2023. This is contingent upon receiving the grant from the Department of Commerce for the CHIPS Act of America. The state of Kansas has been very involved and has offered approximately $40 million in tax incentives to assist with our initial construction and production.

SRM has worked to gain investors and government-backed loans to be able to integrate this plant into the operations at the emerging regional cluster in Coffey County, Kansas.

SRM will build resistors, transistors, and diodes that are needed for microelectronics in the secure supply chain the United States is creating through the CHIPS for America Act. These are small components that are needed in nearly every electronic device created. It is our endeavor to create these products in a secure manner that will allow operations within the Department of Defense and other governmental departments and agencies without the concern of foriegn entities compromising the products.

Being a part of the secure supply chain is the imperative motivation for the owners and investors of SRM. Our hope is to be one of the members of a complete supply chain manufacturing operation within the United States. We have identified multiple resistors, transistors, and diodes that are needed in existing products in the Department of Defense. We will be expanding our production to meet the demand for security products including the sizes, the uses, and the provision of research and development to continue to expand our abilities and production for the uses of the departments and agencies needing our products.

SRM will employ approximately 25 people initially and up to 250 people when the plant is complete, and manufacturing is underway. We are currently looking for our needed workers and ensuring that all populations are included in this search. SRM is primarily owned by veterans and women, and we are dedicated to offering competitive wages and benefits to our employees.

Secure Capacitors (SCL) is a company that will build capacitors for many uses. These capacitors will be used in a multitude of electronic systems, built securely in the United States.

Since nearly every system in use has some sort of capacitance device built into it, it is imperative that the United States has access to securely manufactured capacitors as a component of a secure supply chain.

SCL will build capacitors that will work with many existing items within the Department of Defense and many other organizations. SCL has a list of needed capacitors for existing products used by the Department of Defense and other agencies and departments. We will begin building those and expand to additional capacitors as well as doing research and development on new manners and uses of these devices.

Secure Capacitors will apply for funding through the CHIPS for America Act and the Department of Commerce. Multiple investors have been associated with the foundation of SCL, as well as government-backed loans and bonds.

Upon funding, Secure Capacitors will build a factory that will be expandable and will be secure in nature in the electronic industrial park in Burlington, Kansas. One of our initial customers is also located in the emerging regional cluster, which will allow us to have very few hands in the transition of components from one company to the other, that’s allowing us to have extended security on delivery.

We are excited about this opportunity to bring microelectronics back to the United States as part of our national security. Repatriating microelectronics is seen as a crucial part of our operations. We hope that through our endeavors and others participating in the CHIPS for America Act that we will be able to repatriate all components of the micro-electronics chain so all end components will be 100% created in the United States of America.

Rusty Electronics is a manufacturing company that will provide printed circuit boards for many components, primarily to be used initially for Department of Defense purposes.

These circuit boards will primarily be used initially for Department of Defense purposes, however, they are planned for extensive and expanding purposes as the company grows within the secure supply chain.

Printed circuit boards are an essential part of nearly every electronic component that is made today. Being able to produce certified secure printed circuit boards will assist in creating the secure supply chain needed in the United States. The secure supply chain is incredibly important for security within our Department of Defense, the intelligence community, the Energy Department, and many other agencies and departments within the United States government and beyond.

Rusty Electronics has chosen to build its first manufacturing plant in Burlington, Coffey County, Kansas. This is part of a cluster of activities that are all working within the secure supply chain of microelectronics.

One of the primary customers of Rusty Electronics will be part of the industrial campus that is being created. Positive points of being located close to one another are the ability to hand products off directly to the customer and, therefore, lessen the number of hands on the components and allow total security measures on the equipment that is being delivered.

This is only one customer to whom we will be providing products; however, they are our first primary customer, and they are in a growing field. We see the growth in this field being exponential for the simple fact that many, if not all, government agencies should and will be using securely built components to ensure that our national security remains ours.

The organization creating this startup manufacturing plant is a group of patriotic American citizens who wish to see our microelectronics repatriated to the United States. We see this as an important and imperative component of this manufacturing endeavor.

Rusty Electronics will be applying for federal funds through the Department of Commerce that was supplied through the CHIPS for America Act that was passed In August of 2022. Additional funding will also be working with multiple banks and private investors and utilizing tax incentives offered by the State of Kansas and Coffey County, Kansas.

We are ecstatic about the support we have been provided by the State of Kansas and Coffey County. We look forward to our organized and cooperative efforts in being one of the leaders in this endeavor to secure the American supply chain in microelectronics.
